Bill would introduce oversight to state biotech industry 

Assemblyman Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, announced legislation creating a director of California Biotechnology Retention and Recruitment within the Governor’s Office. Hill said the state’s biotech industry, which has a work force of 750,000, needs oversight “to ensure that California doesn’t become to biotechnology what Michigan has become to the auto industry.”
