Biden to Senate: Bah, humbug!

This worky-work holiday season is finding the avuncular Vice President Biden uncommonly garrulous! Shaking a fist toward the Senate side of the Capitol! What gives, Biden?

In an interview with NBC News, Biden threw down the legislative equivalent of "when I was a senator, we used to walk five miles in the snow to pass a nuclear non-proliferation treaty!" on the Republicans who prefer their Christmas dinner without SALT.

"Get out of the way," Biden said. "There's too much at stake for America's national security. And don't tell me about Christmas. I understand Christmas. I have been a senator for a long time. I've been there many years where we go right up to Christmas."

You meddlesome kids! Get out of my yard! Get a job! Make something of yourself!

The vice president continued:

"There's 10 days between now and Christmas," Biden said. "I hope I don't get in the way of your Christmas shopping, but this is the nation's business. This is the national security that's at stake. Act. Act."
