Bicyclist killed while riding northbound on Highway 101

A bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision while riding on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Burlingame on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers were called to northbound 101 just north of Broadway at around 10:40 p.m.

All lanes of the highway were closed for over an hour as CHP officers investigated the incident. All lanes were open on the highway by 12:40 a.m. Sunday.

The victim, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene, a CHP officer said.
