Belmont to turn on red-light cameras

Belmont is set to turn on its red-light cameras today, just months after South San Francisco encountered problems that could lead to the city abandoning the program. San Carlos voted Monday to cease using its lone red-light camera. In Belmont, the cameras are installed for eastbound drivers on Ralston Avenue at El Camino Real, while westbound drivers on Ralston will encounter them at Old Country Road.
