Beggars can’t be choosers, but they can be bruisers

A man was robbed by three thugs in the Mission district Sunday, even after he gave them a dollar, police said.

The 44-year-old victim was walking in the 3000 block of Mission Street about 6:20 p.m. when one of the goons grabbed his arm and asked for a dollar, police said. The victim took out his wallet and gave the man a buck.

A second suspect grabbed the wallet and took the rest of the cash. Then the three thugs, described as men in their 20s, beat up the victim, left him on the ground and fled, police said.

The victim was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
