Bay Area’s first baby of 2008 born in Santa Rosa 

A baby girl who appears to be the first Bay Area baby born in 2008 arrived in Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa on Tuesday morning and shares her birthday with her 27-year-old mother, according to the hospital.

Tania Guadalupe Banuelos was born at 12:04 a.m. and weighs 7 pounds, 2 ounces, according to Julie Michelena, a registered nurse at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa.

Tania’s parents, Adela and Alfredo Banuelos, were with her at the hospital Tuesday, Michelena said. Adela Banuelos was born Jan. 1, 1981, Michelena said.
