Bay Area native Dianna Agron in San Bruno promoting ‘I Am Number Four’

Dianna Agron is not just a pretty face.

Sure, the Russian-descended beauty stars as the cheerleader Quinn Fabray on Fox’s award-winning show “Glee.” But she’s also a local native who attended Burlingame High School, a screenwriter and a former dance instructor.

Last year, the 24-year-old Renaissance woman even tried her hand at directing, helming the “Body” video for Thao and The Get Down Stay Down. But next Saturday, she returns to the Bay Area with a 2 p.m. appearance at the Hot Topic store in The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno.

What’s Agron doing back in town?

Promoting — along with her co-star/beau Alex Pettyfer — the new Dreamworks Pictures' sci-fi flick “I Am Number Four,” which opens nationwide Feb. 18.

Directed by D.J. Caruso, the script concerns nine intergalactic infants forced to flee their home planet of Lorien when it’s destroyed by vengeful Magadorians. Naturally, they hide out on Earth until their enemies track them down and start offing them in numerical order; Pettyfer is John Smith, AKA Number Four and Agron is Sarah, his human girlfriend. As if Hot Topic wasn’t crowded enough already!
