Bay Area man wins bid to coach in Arkansas State spring game

Nick Bhardwaj, the CEO and co-founder of the gaming studio Beyond Games based in San Francisco, submitted the winning bid of $11,700 in an eBay auction to win the chance to coach one of the teams in Arkansas State’s spring football game.

Bhardwaj will give the pregame and halftime talks to his team and will be allowed to determine whether to punt on fourth downs or go for the first down. He’ll also be allowed to make play-calling decisions.

The 25-year-old said he has followed ASU in recent years.

The ASU spring game is Friday starting at 7 p.m.
