Bay Area Bike Share begins in San Francisco

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, MTC and project partners today launced the Bay Area Bike Share pilot program in San Francisco. SF Mayor Ed Lee, San Jose City Council member Ash Kalra, MTC Chair Amy Worth, SamTrans Vice Chair Jeff Gee, SFPD Chief Suhr and EPA Administrator Jared Blumenfeld celebrated with a ribbon cutting and bike ride at the Caltrain station at 700 4th Street at King Street, one of many bike share locations throughout San Francisco, Redwood City, Palo Alto Mountain View and San Jose.
