Baseball bat attack in Mission alleyway

Thugs smacked a man with a baseball bat and robbed him as he slept in a Mission district alley Monday, cops said.

The 42-year-old was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the surprise attack in Lilac Alley around 7:15 p.m.

One of three hoods struck the victim in the head with the bat, police said. A second crook grabbed the sleeping man’s money.

They fled, and there have been no arrests, police said.
