  • BART is experiencing delays on the Dublin/Pleasanton to Daly City and Fremont to Daly City lines due to issues at the Bay Fair and West Oakland stations this afternoon.

A problem with a track switch this afternoon at the Bay Fair BART station has been resolved and trains are resuming normal service with 15-20 minute delays, a BART spokesman said.

Crews responded at 11:45 a.m. to a problem with a track switch affecting the Fremont to Daly City and Dublin/Pleasanton to Daly City lines, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.

As of around 1 p.m., Allison said crews had been able to manually move the switch into the correct position.

There is a 15-20 minute delay on the tracks, but Allison said trains would be returning to normal speeds as soon as work crews clear the trackway.

An earlier problem with metal debris on the tracks between the West Oakland station and the Transbay Tube has also been resolved, Allison said.
