Bachmann explains her headaches

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann responded Tuesday to reports that she is regularly incapacitated by severe migraines, saying her headaches are easily treatable with medication and do not interfere with her work.

"Like nearly 30 million other Americans, I experience migraines that are easily controlled with medication," she said in a statement. "Let me be abundantly clear -- my ability to function effectively has never been impeded by migraines and will not affect my ability to serve as Commander in Chief."

Bachmann, a U.S.  Representative from Minnesota, released the statement after The Daily Caller reported that her headaches can "incapacitate" her for days at a time.
