Art wanted for Laguna Honda Hospital

The Arts Commission is looking for local artists to create public artwork for the new Laguna Honda Hospital set to open this fall.

The Commission allocated $250,000 to purchase, frame and install a number of artworks, including painting, prints and photos for display in the resident floors.

Artists from the nine Bay Area counties are eligible for consideration, although preference will be given to any artist living in San Francisco. Artists have until April 23 to submit a request for proposal, with up to 10 images of available work. Images must be positive, reality-based landscapes and still lifes suitable for the health care facility.

Applications are available through www.callforentry.org.
