Armed suspects tie up and rob South City couple

Three men armed with semi-automatic pistols were inside a South San Francisco family's home when the residents returned from church early Friday morning, according to the Police Department.

As the family of three entered their home, the suspects confronted them. They tied up the man and woman and demanded their property. When the victims didn't give the men what they wanted, the suspects threatened to injure the couple's child, according to police.

The child wasn't hurt, but the father was assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

The suspects, who apparently ransacked the residence on Calvert Avenue, eventually left the home with the family's property.

Police say it appears the suspects knew the father's name and where he works.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact South San Francisco police at (650) 877-8900.
