Are there any more issues related to the Beach Chalet soccer fields?

Park officials are cordially invited to decompress everything they know about converting the Beach Chalet soccer fields into artificial turf and renovating the area before it spends money on an impact report.

SF Ocean Edge sent nearly five pages of issues from the effects on climate change to water runoff differences that should be taken into consideration during the EIR and asked for a scoping meeting before Rec and Park moves forward with it. And this group is only one among several that pushed park officials to halt their $12.5 million plans in the first place.

Since Rec and Park can’t always get what it wants, meeting with the preservation watchdogs beforehand could help prevent history from repeating itself.
