Apple opening new store on Chestnut Street

Apple is opening a new store, its 15th in the Bay Area, on Chestnut Street in San Francisco this Friday at 9 a.m.

The opening, timed to coincide with "Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving and usually one of the busiest shopping days of the year, is expected to draw large crowds.

More than 100 million people visited Apple stores in fiscal 2007, according to Apple, and more than 50 percent of people in the United States now live within 15 miles of Appleā€™s 202 retail stores.
