Members of the community along with SFPD, Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi and Supervisor Malia Cohen gathered at the Joseph Lee recreation center Thursday evening in San Francisco's Bayview district for a town hall meeting in response to a rash of violence bringing The City's homicide rate to nine for the month of January alone. The group then marched to the site of two of the latest homicides and prayed for peace, the victims and their families.
