Another victim robbed on Muni in southeast part of SF

Another person was robbed this week on a Muni bus by a group of thugs, this time in Sunnydale, police said.

The 24-year-old man was on a bus near Santos Street and Velasco Avenue about 3:30 a.m. Thursday when seven male suspects, believed to be between 17 and 20 years old, dragged the victim off the bus.

One of the crooks pointed a gun at the victim and another pulled out a knife.

The thugs demanded the man's property and he complied.

The group fled with a wallet, cash, cellphone and backpack.

No arrests have been made.

The incident was the latest robbery this week involving bus passengers in The City's southeast.

On Tuesday, a 21-year-old man was robbed on a bus by five suspects in Bernal Heights.

On Monday, two people were robbed in separate incidents, one on a bus and one as the passenger was getting off a bus.

The first incident happened in Crocker Amazon about 6:28 p.m. Monday when a 38-year-old man was robbed by three suspects. Later that night, a 22-year-old man was robbed after he got off a bus about 10:39 p.m. in Sunnydale. In that case, the four suspects had been on the bus and followed the victim as he exited the vehicle.

In two of the cases, the victims were roughed up by the suspects. Monday's Sunnydale robbery was similar to the one from early Thursday morning and happened in the same neighborhood.
