Another rain system to hit region

Umbrellas will be a necessary accessory for the next couple days, as another rain system hits the Bay Area.

The City will be on the tail end of a system expected to center on the North Bay that will hit Tuesday afternoon.

This system will bring light rain beginning late Tuesday afternoon and continuing until Wednesday afternoon, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Tentinger.

“After that, it kind of dries out,” he said.

San Francisco is expected to receive a quarter-inch of rain; areas in the North Bay will see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches.

High temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday will approach 60, while lows will be in the mid-40s today and low 50s Thursday.
