Alleged drug dealer leads police on wild chase

It was a foot chase for the big screen.

Cops investigating a drug deal in the Tenderloin neighborhood seized 246 OxyContin pills and more than $1,000 in cash around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 14, police said.

But the bust wasn’t made until one of the cops, identified as Officer Coleman, chased an allegedly veteran drug dealer through streets, over fences and finally onto the rooftop of a residence, police said.

The officers said the suspect had run from them during a previous narcotics arrest. This time around, police said he slipped out of his jacket when the cops initially tried to detain him.

Officer Coleman “cut up is hand on nails and point bushes as he was jumping over the fence,” police said.

He was only slightly injured, they said.
