Adele is back, rocking at Target and Best Buy

She’s baaaaaack!

That’s right — next week marks the return of scrappy R&B-seasoned UK diva Adele, who wowed the world with her “19” debut three years ago and is back to do it again with the sophomore stunner “21.”

A quite logical title, since the singer, now almost 23, was 21 when she composed it.

Breakup-themed, and bolstered by the revival-tent single “Rolling In The Deep,” the set features top-notch collaborators like Deep’s Paul Epworth, as well as Eg White, Semisonic’s Dan Wilson and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. And Adele has already hit the road promoting it.

In some very strange places.

Recently, in the dead of winter, the rascally redhead flew to Minneapolis on a puddle jumper to perform for Target, then Best Buy, execs.

“The plane was so tiny, and I’m the worst flier,” she shudders. “I literally had to get on a Flintstones plane, an American Eagle. It was horrible!”

But the Target folks?

“They were wild! The first time I went on the last record, I was in a tiny office with about four people. This time, I was in a 500-capacity room and about 1,000 people turned up. And it was like performing to a roomful of gays — it was amazing! They were all cheering and whooping.”

And in case you were wondering, yes, Adele does frequent Target.

“I just bought a jumper there for quite cheap, a sweater, and it’s lovely,” she says. “And that’s where I go and do my shopping when I’m on tour!”
