A real handbanger's ball heading for San Francisco

Mark the date on your metalhead calendar: Oct. 23. That’s when one the most steamrolling locomotive of a rock-and-roll tour chugs into the Warfield in San Francisco.

We’re not kidding. Our own thrash legends Death Angel are opening, followed by more local boys – Chuck Billy’s legendary juggernaut Testament, who are co-headlining along with none other than Anthrax, who will be fresh from their career-topping Big Four gig at Yankee Stadium this Sept. 14, at which they’re playing alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.

Says Anthrax’s Charlie Benante, “We’ve been tight with the guys in Testament for a long, long time, so we’re really looking forward to hanging out with them on the road. And all of us in Anthrax are big Death Angel fans, so this is going to be a monster of a good time – for all of us and for the fans.”

Fan club tickets go on sale today at www.anthraxarmy.com. Public-sale ducats are up this Friday at www.anthrax.com. Talk about a real headbanger’s ball!
