A great 'Opening Day on the Bay'

The official start of boating season on the Bay kicked off Sunday with a parade of ships along the San Francisco shoreline.

The 95th annual "Opening Day on the Bay" parade from Crissy Field to Pier 39 included about 75 boats, including a fireboat and decorated sailboats and powerboats, according to Mia Bernt of the Pacific Inter-club Yacht Association.

This year’s theme, "Giants of the Bay," a nod to the World Series champion Giants, featured a lot of orange and black.
