A fight fit for a daytime talk show

Jerry Springer was not sighted in San Francisco on Tuesday — but two potential guests on his popular television show were in plain view, police said.

The men were viciously fighting in the middle of the street on Sunnydale Avenue around 5:23 p.m. They were brawling “because one of the men is dating the other’s mother,” police said.

Cops had to pepper-spray the men because they wouldn’t stop battling, police said. The man who started the fight was cited for battery and released. The other man received a warning, police said.

It was not immediately known whether anyone chanted “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!” from the sidewalk.
