A bit of context for ’stomp-gate’ 

There’s no excuse for stomping anyone, under any circumstances, and the supporter of Kentucky GOP Senate nominee Rand Paul who stomped a MoveOn.org activist outside of this week’s Kentucky Senate debate should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

That said, watch the video below. It shows the stomp-ee moments before the incident occurred, running to the side of Paul’s car window and actually reaching into it as he pulled up.

Again, the stomping was wrong, clearly gratuitous, and deserving of punishment. There is no “camera angle” that can justify that. But you can hardly be surprised that the other people present restrained the activist when you see what she did. If she had been an exuberant fan lunging into the car window of a rock concert, you can bet security would have pinned her to the ground.
