6 hurt during shooting at party in Antioch

Police say six people — most of them teens — were hurt when gunfire broke out during a shooting at a "sweet sixteen" party in Antioch Saturday night.

Investigators say the shooting around 10:35 p.m. took place at a party that was being thrown by the parents of a 16-year-old girl.

Antioch police Lt. Scott Willerford told the San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/yzqakH) that three or four boys, or young men, are believed to have begun shooting when two groups of people at the party became involved in an argument.

The wounded included a 13-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys, two 18-year-old men and a 21-year-old woman.

Police say the nature of the injuries range from a minor grazing wound to an abdomen wound.
