49ers, Raiders to end preseason rivalry after Candlestick Park violence, according to reports

The San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders annual preseason game will be ended by the NFL after the violence that erupted at Candlestick Park on Saturday night, according to news reports.

The news comes after two shootings and an assault during and after the game at Candlestick Park on Saturday night left three people injured. YouTube videos have shown other fights both inside and outside the stadium Saturday.

A high-ranking NFL source said the two teams will end their yearly exhibition game, and have the support of both the NFL and local police, according to San Jose Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami.
