3.5-magnitude earthquake strikes just offshore of Daly City 

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck just offshore from Daly City on Friday.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at 2:29 p.m. and had a depth of 4.2 miles.

The quake was centered about 3 miles north-northwest of Daly City and 9 miles southwest of San Francisco City Hall, according to the USGS.
