A crash involving a suspected drunken driver in San Diego has injured eight people, including three young children.

San Diego police say an 18-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Dodge Charger that collided with an SUV Tuesday night in the San Carlos area.

The crash injured four people in the Charger and a father and his three children, ages 1, 3, and 7, in the other car. Police say two injuries were major.

TV station KGTV (http://bit.ly/A6cctn ) says a girl was thrown from the SUV and suffered moderate injuries. Her father was trapped in the SUV and had to be cut out. He and four others had moderate injuries.

Police say they suspect the Charger's driver was under the influence.
