22nd annual ‘Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular’

Celebrate Independence Day with an all-American show featuring fireworks and symphonic music at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. The special guest on the Radio Disney-presented "Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" is Hollywood legend Lauren Bacall, who will narrate Aaron Copland’s "Lincoln Portrait." Resident conductor James Gaffigan will lead the San Francisco Symphony in the piece.

Other musical favorites on the program are "The Star-Spangled Banner," "Fanfare for the Common Man," "American Salute," "William Tell Overture" and "Summon the Heroes." Movie themes, including the James Bond theme, the "Rocky Concert Suite," the "Superman March" and the "Theme from Apollo 13" — clips of "Apollo 13" will be shown — round out the show.

Gates open at 5 p.m. on July 4; the music starts at 8 p.m. and the big fireworks display starts at sunset. Shoreline Amphitheatre is at One Amphitheatre Parkway. Tickets are $29.50 and $24 for reserved seating and $24 for lawn seating. Four-pack tickets, priced at $79 for reserved seats and $69 for lawn, also are available.
