2-year-old killed after shots fired at garage

Authorities say a 2-year-old boy was killed and two men were wounded after someone opened fire on a Southern California garage.

Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Angel Ramos says the child died at a hospital after the Wednesday night shooting in Coachella.

Authorities told KESQ (http://bit.ly/w4Qq0D) that someone opened fire on the garage of a home, hitting the boy in the head. The gunfire also wounded one man in the leg and another man in the torso.

The relationship among the victims is not immediately clear.

Ramos says no arrests have been made and investigators are seeking the public's assistance.
