A 40-year-old woman was woken up in her Sunset district apartment early Sunday morning by two men who fled by the time police arrived.
Police are investigating the crime and the motive behind it since nothing was stolen.
The break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 1700 block of 27th Avenue, police Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.
“The victim was sleeping in her downstairs apartment and was woken up by one of the suspects,” Tomioka said.
The armed men, described only as black males, woke the Asian woman by grabbing her arm, police said.
A neighbor disturbed by noises coming from the home called police.
The woman told police that one of the men had a crowbar, but a description of the other weapon was not available.
The two left in a dark car, but that was the only vehicle description available, and no arrests were made, Tomioka said.
