He just wanted to bring the noise but his ungrateful passenger sang a different tune.
A woman was charged with attempted murder and robbery charges after she attacked a man delivering music compact discs in the Financial District on Monday, police said.
The 58-year-old victim was slashed with a knife and robbed of 100 CDs by a 41-year-old knife-wielding woman who he had just given a ride, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
The driver gave the woman a ride at the behest of a common acquaintance, Esparza said. He stopped to make a delivery near Maritime Plaza around noon and asked the woman to get out of the car while he locked it. While he was making his delivery the woman broke into the vehicle and took the CDs.
The victim came out and discovered the theft and confronted the woman, cops said. The two ended up fighting over the CDs and the woman pulled out a knife and began slashing at the victim.
“She was trying to stab him multiple times in the stomach,” Esparza said.
He was cut on his hand but refused medical attention, police said. The knife-wielding music fan was seen walking down the street and promptly arrested.
As of Monday, it was unknown what was music was on the CDs, cops said.
