Woman tells police she was double-crossed during drug deal

A 24-year-old woman told San Francisco police she was double-crossed during drug deal that went sour in the mid-Market district Tuesday.

The woman agreed to buy drugs with the suspect, a man in his 40s, from a dealer at Sixth and Mission streets around 7:30 p.m. She fetched the drugs, but when she returned the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the drugs and her remaining cash, police said.

The double-crosser then fled the scene in a battered blue Mercedes sedan, police said. No arrest has been made.
