A woman was punched and hit with a skateboard by two men in the Mid-Market area on Tuesday, police said.

The 25-year-old victim was walking in the 1000 block of Market Street about 7:30 p.m. when she approached the suspects who were reportedly blocking the way, police said.

The three engaged in a verbal argument and when the victim took out her pepper spray, one of the suspects punched her in the face and the other hit her with a skateboard. The goons fled the scene on foot.

They were described by police only as men in their 20s.

The victim's injuries were not life threatening. No arrests have been made.
