Woman injured in shooting in the Mission

A woman was injured in a shooting in the Mission on Saturday, police said Tuesday.

The 23-year-old victim was sitting in a car at 18th and Florida streets about 1:35 a.m. when a man in his 20s approached and tapped on the window, police said. The man was brandishing a pistol.

The woman drove away from the man, who fired his gun at her as she fled. The bullet grazed her torso, police said.

According to police, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

No arrest has been made, but the suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a white SUV.
