Woman, child struck by car while crossing street in SF’s Richmond district 

A woman and a 5-year-old boy were struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in San Francisco’s Richmond district on Monday evening, according to police.

The woman, a babysitter, and the boy were in the crosswalk at 37th adjacent to Golden Gate Park, when they were struck by the vehicle at about 5:15 p.m., according to San Francisco police.

Both the woman and the child were transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver, who remained at the scene, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to police.
