Woman assaulted during store robbery

Gun-toting thugs punched and kicked a woman while she was on the ground during the robbery of a Mission district store on Tuesday, police said.

The violent heist occurred at a shop near 24th Street and South Van Ness Avenue around 6:20 p.m.

Two goons pushed a 34-year-old woman to the back of the store. Then a 38-year-old man walked into the store, and he also was ordered to the back of the store, police said.

The male victim said the thugs assaulted the woman and then fled with the store’s cash.

The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

There have been no arrests.
