Woman, 84, injured in Broadway Tunnel attack

An 84-year-old woman was injured during an assault in the Broadway Tunnel on Saturday, police said Monday.

The victim was walking through the tunnel about 11:26 p.m. when an unknown male suspect grabbed her and threw her against the wall, knocking her out.

The woman sustained an injury to her leg and head but police said the injuries were not life threatening. Robbery does not appear to have been a motive as the victim did not sustain any loss, police said.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction and no arrest has been made.
