Washington High School aims to upgrade batting cage

Washington High School coach Rob Fung is spearheading an attempt to get new batting cages on campus.

Fung has teamed up with Washington softball coach Carrie Wert to try and raise $167,000 (the approximate cost of a new batting cage).

Fung and Wert have reached out to alumni, former players and parents for funds for a new batting cage that will be an upgrade over the 18-year-old cage they have now.

"This new batting cage will help make this program better, and will help individuals get better." Fung said. "It's time to upgrade our facilities here so hopefully we can make this happen."
