The NBA announced that the Warriors will open their 2010-11 NBA campaign at Oracle Arena on Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. when the club plays host to the Houston Rockets.
Golden State is slated to make seven national television appearances this season, with six games scheduled on ESPN’s family of networks and one appearance on TNT.
The Warriors’ first appearance on national TV will be on ESPN2 on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 26.
ESPN will also feature Golden State’s home games at Oracle Arena versus the Miami Heat on Dec. 10; the Portland Trail Blazers on Christmas Day; the Utah Jazz on Jan. 30; the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 13; and the Dallas Mavericks on March 16.
TNT’s exclusive Thursday night coverage will feature a Warriors home game versus the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 2. Additionally, the Warriors are currently slated to make three appearances on NBATV.
Tip-off time for the majority of Golden State’s home games during the 2010-11 season will be 7:30 p.m., with the exception of four Sunday contests and one special Monday matinee.
The Warriors will play four of their first five games at home to begin the season before playing 20 of their next 30 contests on the road. Golden State will then play 18 of its next 22 games at Oracle Arena between Jan. 7 and Feb. 25, a stretch that is immediately followed by a season-long seven-game, 11-night road trip.
