Late June and it’s raining in San Francisco.
But roll with the punches, Bay Area. The unusual storm passing over the region Tuesday will soon be swapped with dry weather. By this weekend, some residents may be turning on air conditioners, according to National Weather Service forecaster Steve Anderson.
The rain is expected to last until early Wednesday morning. There could be up to an inch of rain on the Peninsula, and more than an inch in the North Bay, Anderson said.
The summer rain is highly unusual, he said.
Wednesday will be dry and the warming trend will begin. By the weekend, temperatures will be well above normal, including 100 degrees in Livermore and around the 80s in San Francisco, Anderson said.
