Wanted fugitive arrested in SF

U.S. marshals and San Francisco police have arrested one of San Francisco's top 10 most wanted fugitives, the agencies reported today.

Steve Bahr, 54, was wanted for allegedly committing a rape in Mendocino County and for failing to register as a sex offender for the past four years, according to police spokeswoman Lt. Lyn Tomioka.

San Francisco had a $50,000 warrant for his arrest.

Bahr was arrested Wednesday at an apartment where he was staying at 1010 Bush St. in San Francisco, Tomioka said.
