Walk to meet girlfriend ends with robbery at gunpoint

A 30-year-old man who was on his way to meet his girlfriend in the Mission district was robbed at gunpoint near 25th and Shotwell streets about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The gun-toting robber demanded the victim’s property and told him to walk around the corner “because they were near an elementary school,” police said. When the victim went around the corner, another man demanded his property. The second suspect was described by police as a man in his 30s.

The victim turned over his briefcase, wallet, clothing and a debit card to the two crooks.
