The Local Agency Formation Commission, chaired by Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi, meets Friday and will discuss progress being made on CleanPowerSF, otherwise known as Community Choice Aggregation. City officials have been trying to set up the program prior to the June election, when a measure placed on the ballot by Pacific Gas & Electric would make such programs nearly impossible to establish by requiring a two-thirds voter approval. The measure has come under attack by City Attorney Dennis Herrera, among others.
The recent updates on the progress of the program were not so rosy.
LAFCO meets Friday at 2 p.m. at City Hall in Room 250.
