Two women who were just on their way to work out were robbed and assaulted in broad daylight by three thugs in downtown San Francisco on Saturday, police said.
The two 23-year-old victims were walking on Montgomery Street near Sutter Street about 4:35 p.m. when the three suspects snuck up from behind and "began to relieve [the] victims of their belongings," police said.
One of the women resisted and was hit in the face, causing a bloody nose and lip.
The victims lost a cellphone, satchel, tablet and tote that contained clothing, police said.
The suspects were described by police as two men in their 20s and one woman, also in her 20s. No arrests have been made.
