  • A couple thugs attacked a man in a wheelchair with his own laptop before fleeing the scene with it.

A man in a wheelchair was assaulted with his own laptop, which was then stolen from him in the mid-Market Street area Wednesday, police said.

The 30-year-old victim was sitting in his wheelchair working on his laptop near Sixth and Market streets about 6 a.m. when two male suspects approached him and grabbed the laptop, police said.

The thugs proceeded to strike the man in the head multiple times with the laptop, police said, before fleeing on foot with the computer.

The victim was hospitalized for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.
