Two sought in armed liquor store robbery

The owner of a liquor store near Redwood City was robbed at gunpoint Friday night, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident was reported at 9:01 p.m. at One Stop Liquors at 390 Fourth Ave. in the unincorporated North Fair Oaks neighborhood. The owner told deputies that one of two suspects pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded he open the cash register, sheriff’s officials said. The pair then fled with cash.

Deputies searched the area but did not find the suspects, the Sheriff’s Office said.
