Two residential burglaries occur in same San Carlos neighborhood

San Carlos police are continuing their investigation of two residential burglaries that happened earlier this week.

One of the burglaries took place at a home in the 1600 block of White Oak Way sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, police said.

The burglar or burglars entered the home through the side yard gate and garage where they reportedly rummaged through an unlocked car and stole $100 worth of property, according to police.

Down the street, another burglary took place at a home in the 1500 block of Gover Lane sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Monday, police said.

The burglar or burglars entered the home through an unlocked window in the kitchen and allegedly stole up to $1,300 worth of property, according to police.

Police said it appears the burglar or burglars exited through the window and did not trespass in any other rooms in the home.

A resident saw a green Toyota SUV in the area around the time that looked unfamiliar to the neighborhood, police said.

City residents who may see any suspicious activity in their area are asked to call 911.
