Two men accused of viciously beating Giants fan Bryan Stow are expected to plead guilty in a Los Angeles courtroom today, according to a report by NBC.
The alleged beating by Louie Sanchez, 31, and Marvin Norwood, 32, after the Opening Day 2011 game between the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers in a stadium parking lot left Stow — a paramedic from Santa Cruz — with brain damage. Sanchez is expected to be sentenced to eight years and Norwood four years in state prison, the national-TV network reported, citing law enforcement sources close to the case. Both men also face federal weapons charges after serving their sentence.
Stow's family is expected to be at the court appearance and offer victim-impact statements, NBC reported. Stow, 44, continues to have seizures and will not be in court today.
